How to Place Your Ad

What We Do For You

Once you decide to place an ad, call or e-mail us to start the process. We try to make it as easy for you as possible! We always answer the phone during regular weekday business hours, except under the most unusual circumstances.

For line ads, we’ll need your wording in writing — roughly 40 words, with a bold headline that can be up to about six words, depending on letter count.

For display ads, we will send you a clearly written advertising agreement specifying exactly what you are getting for your money, and when we get that back, we’ll ask for your ad materials (see below) and start to design your ad.

What Only YOU Can Do

You know your business and the purpose of your ad better than we do!

That’s why you are the only person who can make decisions about:

  1. which areas you want to advertise in
  2. what size ad to run
  3. your wording and any coupons or offers
  4. what should be emphasized
  5. any logos, graphics, or photographs you wish to use

Logos, Images, Graphics: What to Give Us

We can usually get a good scan from any hard (printed) copy of a good, clear image that you own the rights to.

We can also work from a graphics file in any of the standard formats (pdf, jpg, gif, etc.), either e-mailed as an attachment or provided on a flash drive or CD-ROM.

Sometimes we can provide “clipart” that will meet your needs.
